Voorschoten has plenty of green space, but dogs can't run free everywhere, and a couple of well-known estates don't allow dogs at all. This guide explains what we do for your dog in Voorschoten and what it costs. It also covers where your dog can be off-leash. How much does a dog walker cost in Voorschoten?
A private walk costs €20 for 30 minutes or €26 for 60 minutes. On a weekly plan you pay from €17.30 per walk. Single walks are fine too, no plan needed. Every walk is one-on-one: just your dog, with Dominic or Evika.

Going away? Your dog can board at our home in Wassenaar: a house with a fully fenced garden and no more than two guest dogs at a time. Our Labrador, Lucky, lives with us, so your dog needs to get along with another dog. A night costs €35.
Our group walks and daycare are based in Wassenaar. For daycare, pick-up is optional. Pick-up and drop-off: €1.50 per km (distance from our home), minimum €4 per day. All services are on Services.
Where can my dog be off-leash in Voorschoten?
Throughout Voorschoten dogs must be on a leash, except in the off-leash areas the municipality has designated. You'll recognise them by the signs. The official decree lists more than thirty places, from large estates to small strips of grass. The best-known ones are below.

Picking up after your dog is compulsory everywhere, off-leash areas included, and you must carry a bag or scoop. Dogs are not allowed on public playgrounds, sandpits and play lawns.
Where are dogs not allowed around Voorschoten?
Vlietland lies along the Vliet between Leiden and Leidschendam and is managed by Staatsbosbeheer. Dogs may run free there unless signs say otherwise. From 1 April to 1 October dogs must be on a leash on the recreation lawns and are not allowed on the beaches.
Where will you walk my dog in Voorschoten?
We agree that together at the meet-and-greet. The off-leash areas above suit a dog walk well, and so does a quiet on-leash route through the neighbourhood. The route depends on your dog and on the rules at each spot.
- Off-leash or on a leash? Off-leash only in a designated area and only with reliable recall. Otherwise we use a long line.
- Calm or room to run? A senior or recovering dog gets a short, flat route. A young dog with energy gets more space.

How far are you from Voorschoten?
We live in Wassenaar, on the side closest to The Hague. By car it's approximately 15–25 minutes to Voorschoten, depending on traffic and exactly where you live.

No. Dogs are not welcome on the Duivenvoorde estate, not even on a leash. Only guide dogs and certified assistance dogs are allowed.
Three per person at most. That limit applies to the path around the deer park, the footpath around the cemetery, the strip along the Rosenburgherlaan and the Laantje van Van Wissen towards the Natuurpad Rosenburgh.
