Leidschendam-Voorburg uses both off-leash areas and 'kwispel routes': walking routes where your dog may be off the leash. This guide explains what we do for your dog in Leidschendam and Voorburg and what it costs. It also covers where your dog can run free. How much does a dog walker cost in Leidschendam-Voorburg?
A private walk costs €20 for 30 minutes or €26 for 60 minutes. On a weekly plan you pay from €17.30 per walk. Single walks are fine too, no plan needed. Every walk is one-on-one: just your dog, with Dominic or Evika.

Going away? Your dog can board at our home in Wassenaar: a house with a fully fenced garden and no more than two guest dogs at a time. Our Labrador, Lucky, lives with us, so your dog needs to get along with another dog. A night costs €35.
Our group walks and daycare are based in Wassenaar. For daycare, pick-up is optional. Pick-up and drop-off: €1.50 per km (distance from our home), minimum €4 per day. All services are on Services.
Where can my dog be off-leash in Leidschendam and Voorburg?
In Leidschendam-Voorburg your dog must always be on a leash, except in off-leash areas and on kwispel routes. You'll recognise them by the signs 'Loslopende honden toegestaan' (off-leash dogs allowed), and they're on the municipality's dog map. Picking up after your dog is compulsory everywhere, off-leash areas and kwispel routes included.

Vlietland is a recreation area with water, woods and beaches along the Vliet, between Leiden and Leidschendam. Dogs may run free there, but not on the beaches in the summer half of the year.
Leidschendammerhout is a long, narrow nature area with wet woodland, rough grassland, reeds and ponds. Your dog may be off-leash as long as they're under voice control. Dogs are not allowed where the Scottish Highland cattle graze. Expect muddy paths in winter.

We agree that together at the meet-and-greet. The places above suit a dog walk well, and so does a quiet on-leash route through your own neighbourhood. The route depends on your dog and on the rules at each spot.
- Off-leash or on a leash? Off-leash only in an off-leash area or on a kwispel route, and only with reliable recall. Otherwise we use a long line.
- Season? At Vlietland we plan around the beaches and recreation lawns in the summer half of the year.

How far are you from Leidschendam and Voorburg?
We live in Wassenaar, on the side closest to The Hague. By car it's approximately 10–20 minutes to Leidschendam or Voorburg, depending on traffic and exactly where you live.
